Parliamentary inquiry into Victorian hospitals

The Opposition has successfully moved to set up a parliamentary inquiry to investigate the true state of Victorian hospitals. The inquiry will look at the capacity of hospitals to meet demand, the standards and quality of care, their resources and the accuracy and completeness of performance data...
The inquiry will include the mental health system as part of the public hospital system. Public hearings will commence on 17 August 2009.
