Bonus Payments for Carers and Pensioners

The Federal Government recently announced that it will 'deliver bonus payments across all pension types, including the Carer Payment, Disability Support Pension, and Carer Allowance.... The following lump sum payments will be paid in the fortnight beginning 8 December 2008:
- $1 400 to singles and $2 000 to couples receiving the Carer Payment
- $1 000 (for each eligible person being cared for) to Carer Allowance recipients
Caring families may also benefit from lump sum payments to other Pension and Payments types..."
